Defending 114 looked a big task even for a quality bowling of Daredevils. Morkel bowled an excellent opening over up front. Daredevils required something from the big boy from South Africa to pull off a win. Super Kings were ensuring a solid foundation up front rather flying start in pursuit of an easy target. Both young Indian bowlers worked up good pace which was good to see. Hussey cleared the inner circle quite a few times to get the advantage of field restrictions. Morkel proved to be expensive in his third over after two good tight overs up front. His third over produced three boundaries as Super Kings raced towards the target. Finally after some mishits Hussey got his timing right. Power play produced 45 without demons for Super Kings. It really looked all easy for Super Kings with run rate well under control. Vijay got some nice boundaries under his belt, he really had a torrid time in the start of season. Sehwag turned to his spinners for wickets. Van der Merve was greeted with a reverse sweep by aggressive looking Hussey. Sehwag threw the ball to Irfan Pathan for some magic but the magic came from Vijay's bat. Irfan provided the much needed break though by deceiving Hussey with a change of pace but it seemed to be all too late. Out of form Raina started the innings by pulling Irfan for six over square leg. Raina looked in mood to blast his way out of form. Vijay showed his class with cracking six over extra cover off Aaron. Really it was fantastic shot, one to showcase. Raina joined the party by six over point. It was really humiliation for table leaders all in all. They were never in the contest right from the first over after the early wickets. Hilfanhaus was the man to setup the win for Super Kings.
delhi ultimate fate also was sealed by Chennai team. Sehwag surely needs to understand what his mistakes where. especially selection of team in two important matches
