Dear All Cricket Fans
Sanibona - Warm Greetings from the Southern Tip of the World, South Africa
Thanks you to all my great friends - enjoyed your company during the
IPL in my country. Great fun, great comradeship (friendship)
I had great luck during the IPL and my prediction on Deccan Chargers as winners - worked.
Now I am counting the chicken's before the eggs hatch. SOUTH AFRICA will win the ICC WT20 2009. The boys have dune well against Australia and have performed exceptionally well during the IPL and had contributed greatly to the team.
There is no umph in England during the games as we had in South Africa.
In the warm up games SA won, that evidence enough for my predictions
Last years winners, are defenders in this 2009 game. They cannot repeat in 2009. SA is currently the best performing team. The will be no 1 for a long time.
My second choice is India, that is where my fore-fathers came from, BUT will support India against any team they play, except South Africa my own country.
I must agree that the ICC World Twenty20 does not measure up to the excitement that the IPL offered to cricket lovers around the world. When the IPL was over, it left a hugh void in our lives. I would like to make an appeal to Lalitji to consider alternating the IPL with India and South Africa. South Africa proved that we can host a great show and we are a great cricket loving country and the plus factor being that we are the only country to have the largest number of Indians outside India. When the 'SOLD OUT' signs were out, there were still hundreds of people pleading to get their hands on a ticket for a game. I must add that the IPL gave many youngsters an opportunity to show their explosive talents to the world, so much so, that these youngsters are now representing their countries in England- something which would not had happened were it not for the IPL.
My prediction is that South Africa and India will be in the finals - they are two great teams with youth, expertise and talent, and they have the passion which is needed to be winners.
