Pari Vendan commented on Manju's blog post Will test cricket get its due after the IPL
"Test cricket has its share of people who love it for the game and not for how fast the balls are hit across the boundary. Test cricket is enjoyed for the great cricketing shots that come from the really talented."

"If reality entertainment means that every member of the family sits together to enjoy a great time together then this is the best form of entertainment. However, if it means that there is poor cricket being played, then that is completly untrue."

Cricket is a game that is enjoyed by almost every Indian, cutting across class, creed, age and gender of the individual. The t20 format has set stages on fire and improved TRP rating like never before. The whole of the nation seems to be glued to the matches, with everyone enjoying every bit of the entertainment provided. The cheerleaders, the noisy commentators and the matches of course all add up to heavy excitement. Under all the noise and the glitz attached to the IPL, has the essence of…

Will test cricket get its due after the IPL

Now that the IPL is over and the rush that people felt for the past 2 months has slowly receded will people be able to sit back and watch a good test match between two good test playing countries. The IPL has greatly reduced the attention span of people as it gave more in a matter of 3 hours and with most people getting used to watching matches for 3 hours , a game that lasts longer will either seem boring or a waste of time.

The purists and the traditionalists will still follow test…

The Gayle storm will truly be missed

Posted on June 2, 2012 at 13:57 5 Comments

The magic that Chris Gayle had showered on the cricket field, spellbinding every spectator and keeping them in awe till his innings finally closed, is going to be missed sorely by the millions who supported him across the country. No matter which team they supported everyone in the stands was transformed to a state of complete ecstasy when Gayle began to hit his powerful sixes that took the ball all the way out to the stands.

An incident that will be remembered for many years to come…

The IPL has served to hot up tempers with many players clearly swearing after a dropped catch or a supposed wrong decision by the umpire. The use of profanities has now become common place in most of the IPL cricket matches, setting a new trend which has never been as widespread as it is now.

Earlier the maximum a player would react was to stare at the umpire, except for the Aussies of course who believed in defeating their opponents mentally by hissing profanities. This disturbing…

Hello This is Coby and I'm new to the network. I just wanted to stop by your page and introduce myself. I love Cricket because it's a hard sport and is exciting to watch, but when I'm not watching the games I spend my time with my family. I work from home to help support my family and so I can spend as much time with them as possible, so I guess you could say I'm a work at home Dad and loving father / husband that likes to provide for my family.

I welcome you to add me as a friend on the network so we can share ideas and network, but most of all talk Cricket!

Sincerly,

Coby Hunt
