PCB against playing 2011 World Cup matches in India

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is against playing its matches in India during the 2011 World Cup, and has reportedly asked the International Cricket Council (ICC) to shift its matches to Sri Lanka or Bangladesh.

Sources said PCB chief Ijaz Butt, during the recent ICC executive board meeting, had apprised the game's governing body regarding its stance.

Hussey named Australia vice captain for India ODIs

Australia have named Mike Hussey as deputy to skipper Ricky Ponting in their 15-player squad for a one-day series in India starting on Oct. 25.

Hussey's elevation follows a back injury to fellow batsman Michael Clarke, who was forced to withdraw from their Champions Trophy squad in South Africa.

Clarke, Haddin, Ferguson and Bracken will miss India series

Australian vice-captain Michael Clarke, Brad Haddin, Callum Ferguson and Nathan Bracken have been omitted, due to injuries, from the 15-member squad for the seven-match One-day series against India.

Malik in trouble for batting order complaint

Former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has invited trouble with his criticism of the team's frequent batting reshuffle in the Champions Trophy with the board reviewing if it amounts to contract violation.

Malik drew the ire captain Younus Khan and coach Intikhab Alam after blaming the team management for indulging in too much shuffling of the batting order in the Champions Trophy.

Brett Lee not to cut down his pace
