Deccan Chargers Losing the Plot?

A dream start to the season by the chargers now seem to be fading away and this is causing heartbreaks for the fans that see their team lose out due to poor cricketing strategy. I would request Gilly and the Team Management to get back to the drawing board and have a collective team strategy in place. For any loss from here will only ruin the chances of making it to the Top 4. The match last evening was crucial for both the Kings and Chargers. The approach to the game defending a decent total on board was flawed. Leakage of runs due to poor bowling and timing of bowler slections probably cost Chargers the game. I know it is easy to comment from outside the boundary line. The fact of the matter is on a slow wicket the score on the board at Kimberly was certainly defendable. Gilly in my opinion lost the fire power. The 5th over from Rohit gave any resemblence of a chance to win. After that the chargers allowed Kings to settle down and take the game away. Like Sachin bolwed a bad over, which he has admitted, one over from Symmo also changed the game last evening. RP was out of sorts and gave too much width for the batsment to cut loose.

The bowling department appears pretty weak and the opponents are exposing the Chargers in each game. The role assigned to Suman is indeed good. What needs to be done is that similar roles be assigned to each playing 11. The field palcements at times also looked below par. I was unable to beleive that it was Gilly setting the field. Kings 11 have now got the breather they were looking for. The victory at Kimberly actually gave them the hope to clinch a place in the semis. One thing is certain, if Kings qualify for the Semis, it would be at the loss of Chargers. I am saying this because the top 3 positions in my opinion seem almost booked by the CSK, DD and RR. These three teams wouldnt go backward. They have only improved with every game. There are enough flaws in RR, however they manage the game and force a result in their favor. That is what T20 all about. There is a cue that the Chargers should take from them. Chargers actually expose their weakness and hand out a victory to the opponents.

Here on, with 5 games left, Chargers have put themselves in a spot of bother. If they cannot win next 4 games, which they have to, it would be disappointing for all fans to see them moving out of the reckoning once again this year. They have themselves to blame after a perfect start to the season. It is time to up the ante and come out as victors. For now they seem to be losing the plot and something needs to be done!
