The Goddess of Cricket?

Belinda Jane Clark. Bravo! March 8th of every year is celebrated as Int'l Womens Day. I am a big fan of Sachin Tendulkar. His achievement of double century is being hailed over the planet. [Including myself,i have penned a few lines to award him with Bharat Ratna]. When i was surfing I stumbled upon this name Belinda Clark. Yes, she is the first to score an ODI double hundred on planet Earth. How many of us remember or even heard about it. Myself, no not until today! Who is Belinda Clark? No one remembers her not even Sachin Tendulkar or for that matter may be most of the well known cricket Glitterati. It's not Sachin's or my fault, it is Belinda's. From eons women were never hailed as highly as men. For once A Goddess of Cricket named Belinda Clark had entered the Sanctum Sanctorum of "Double Ton" way before Sachin in the December of 1997 by scoring 229 for Australia against Denmark [so what!] in the women's world cup match. It's never too late, Let's start with a nice appreciation of the work being done by say one's wife, mother, sister, colleague, Pick up the phone or scribble a line saying "Thank You" to all those women who mattered in your life.
